OUR STORY
We met through a mutual friend â one of those moments that feels simple at the time, but quietly changes everything.
Life got busy, and it took about three months before we finally went on our first date. But when we did, something just clicked. Effortless conversation. Familiar energy. A connection that felt both exciting and deeply comfortable.
We quickly realized how much we had in common â a shared passion for travel, a love for incredible food, long days by the beach, and building a life filled with experiences rather than things.
What started as one beautiful evening turned into countless adventures, new stamps in our passports, sunsets shared hand-in-hand, and a love that feels like home. And now, here we are â choosing forever. đ€
As I started reading the Bible on a daily basis, it became clear to me that God wanted me to be married to Nai. I always believed in our private commitment, but came to understand it needed a public forum. So, after our amazing trip to Yellowstone National Park, I decided to get a ring and start down this road.
I ginned up a date night at our favorite spot: Mastro's Steakhouse. We love sitting at the high-tops and listening to the piano. I made a reservation by the piano at our favorite high-top. I ordered the champagne.
At first Nai was reluctant to go on a date. She thought we could just wait a few days and go in Las Vegas. I almost told her I was going to propose so she'd agree. But, I just stuck to my guns: I want a date night at Mastro's. She relented.
When we got there, she was surprised at the champagne on ice. She still didn't expect anything. We started talking about this and that. Finally, I got a little serious and said "Baby, I want us to be together forever and for everyone to know it." I reached into my suit pocket to get the ring. "Baby, will you marry me?"
She was stunned, and happy, and she said "Yes!"
